I align with the notion that, I am a school and always a student. Teaching is a practice. This allows for my capacity to share and transmit knowledge, to be current in my research and for information to come through a place of personal transformation and presence.
I am deeply changed and inspired through working with somatic theory in practice. My approach to movement based classes comes from the study of the body through anatomic and alignment based principles, sensing through the systems of the body and energetic pathways. Physics and imagination, the body contains an immense well of knowledge and power. All bodies hold this power as their birthright, I believe the work of movement research is a process of respecting, revealing and re-claiming this power.
